Hey Fragrance Fam,
The other week, I heard an interesting complaint. During my livestream, a customer told me she’s not allowed to wear fragrances anymore to work.
She said it offended people. I was definitely shocked by this because in all my years of working, I’ve never noticed someone with a fragrance that was that strong.
But it got me thinking, you shouldn’t have to go to work feeling scent naked (not sure if you feel the same way stepping out without a fragrance).
What to do? Just wear something more low key.
Because let’s be real… not every situation calls for 12 sprays and a room-filling scent trail.
It’s about smelling clean, put-together, and lowkey… without choking out your coworkers.
These are my recommendations for what men and women can wear without hearing from HR.
Men’s Fragrances

Dolce Gabbana Light Blue (for men) - one of the most popular fragrances, a beautiful citrus that never disappoints. It’s light but good.

Jean Paul Gualtier Le Beau - this coconut-smelling fragrance from the popular JPG brand is a professional and low key stunner!

Michael Mulal Ocean Noir - probably my most favorite aquatic fragrance. It smells like you’re swimming in the ocean with mermaids. It’s a hitter but light and tends to fade.

Anfar London Midnight Frost Tangerine - a beautiful citrus fragrance that I used to hate and gave it a shot, now I love it! You’ll smell better than a fresh orange.

Dumont Paris Nitro Elixir - nice manly fragrance with a subtle sweetness. It’s a low key fragrance but people who get close will notice it. And nobody should be getting close at work lol.
Women’s Fragrances

Elysian Fields Berry - this is a beautiful, fruity scent that is very affordable and stunts without having to speak loud.

Rayhaan Kiss - OMG. One of my favorite perfumes. You’ll have to trust me on this one, it’s VERY strong at first. But it fades quickly and that’s been a critique I've heard from some, but I think that makes it good for work.

ALT Spell Breaker - this is inspired by the $350 Louis Vuitton Spell on You, and this version is only $50. It smells elegant and classy. Not super strong so it could pass the work vibe.

Surrati Purple Candy - this is the one you might’ve never heard of but don’t let it be the one that got away. Purple Candy smells so good that you’ll want to eat your arm! It’s light and fantastic!

Dolce Gabbana Light Blue (for women) - just like the version for me, light blue is a classic that you can never go wrong with! It smells fresh and clean!
💡 Tip of the week:
For the office: 👉 4-6 sprays max and try a fragrance that isn’t super strong if you’re in an environment where fragrance could cause a problem.
💡Did you know?
A lot of professionals, especially, in the medical field, don’t wear strong perfumes, or any at all? In places like operating rooms, even scent can be a distraction, so they keep it clean and minimal. That’s the real move, smelling good, but only if someone gets close enough to notice.
